Kenya will host the Africa Finance & Investment Forum (AFIF) from 15th to 16th February, 2017 to offer entrepreneurs resources to scale up their ventures.

AFIF is an annual business event organized by EMRC, an organization dedicated to strengthening the continent’s private sector, encouraging entrepreneurship and attracting investment to Africa to establish a stable and vibrant economy.

EMRC, Entrepreneurship Solution Partners and AFIF 2017 host Strathmore University have announced a call for action for entrepreneurs from all over Africa to bring their projects, ideas and running businesses and to discuss them with experts at the upcoming forum.

African pioneers that want to understand the different financing options are welcome to Nairobi to participate in debates and meetings at AFIF.

Yvette Ingabire, one of the Session expert trainers and Manager at Entrepreneurial Solution Partners says, “During the AFIF training session, entrepreneurs will be asked to “begin with why” i.e. going back to the basic question of Why their businesses exist.”

They will then be given practical guidance that will allow them to unleash the potential of their ventures and realize their business ambitions.

“We will showcase key elements that make for a strong business proposition along with the main available sources of financing,” Ingabire adds.

Having been to various countries in sub-Saharan Africa promoting entrepreneurs and connecting them to partners and investors, EMRC realized that access to finance and presenting appealing projects is a major challenge.

“That’s why we’ve initiated AFIF and why a special training session was conceived as part of the AFIF platform,” Idit Miller, EMRC Managing Director says.

To further encourage sustainable development, economic growth, innovation and entrepreneurship in Africa, EMRC will present the AFIF Entrepreneurship Award 2017 to offer financial contribution and exposure/visibility to an African SME with good impact.

The winner of the award sponsored by the Rabobank Foundation will also receive support within and outside of the continent, free participation at AFIF 2017 including training, conference and travel expenses to the forum.

Registration for AFIF 2017 is currently ongoing on the EMRC website with limited spaces available for the pre-forum training.
