November 1 marks the day Angolans welcome a new tariff regime for telecommunication services in the country.
The price increase was approved on September 22 at a joint meeting of the Economic and Real Economy Commissions of the Council of Ministers.
Following this measure, the recharge card that costs 900 Kwanzas will be sold at 1, 250 Kwanzas, asTelecommunications Tariff Unit (UTT), will cost 10 Kwanzas, against the previous rate of 7.2 kwanzas.
Mobile operator Unitel issued a media statement informing customers of the changes according to reports by ANGOP.
Customers of Movicel, another telephone company operating in the Angolan market, were sent the information through “SMS”.
