The British High Commission and the Ministry of Trade jointly hosted the second UK-Uganda trade forum, reports Footprint to Africa.
The event which was facilitated by the British High Commissioner, HE Alison Blackburne and the Minister of Trade, Hon Amelia Kyambadde brought together representatives of British business and officials from several key government agencies.
The forum, Footprint to Africa learnt, also provided the British businesses with the opportunity to interface personally with representatives of the Uganda government agencies that influence and regulate their operations and to present their concerns and queries.
The event also allowed the agencies the opportunity to clarify on outstanding issues and communicate changes that affect businesses operating in Uganda.
Representatives from British businesses operating in various sectors ranging from agriculture and energy to insurance and banking were in attendance at the forum.
