The French Agency for Development (AFD) has promised to fund projects that are connected to energy, water and sanitation in Angola.
AFD regional director, Martha Stein-Scochas gave this assurance in Luanda while speaking to journalists at the end of an audience granted to her by the Angolan secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Manuel Augusto.
Martha Stein-Scochas affirmed that Angola is in the priorities of AFD’s funding programmes for countries south of the Sahara.
According to her, AFD finances projects in 90 countries endeavouring to get rid of under-development.
She explained that the AFD delegation is in Angola for a three-day visit for implementation of the accord signed by president José Eduardo dos Santos and his French counterpart, François Hollande, on July 3, this year year in Luanda.
