The Export Marketing and Investment Assistance Scheme (EMIA) of South Africa’s Department of Trade and Industry (dti) has financially supported South African companies in the agro-processing sector to enable them showcase their products at the International Agricultural Trade Fair in Tehran, Iran.
“The dti is participating for the first time at this exhibition and aims to expose SA agro products to the Iranian and other participating markets,” said the Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, Bulelani Gratitude Magwanishe.
South Africa’s participation implements commitments made by President Zuma and President Rouhani to enhance bilateral economic cooperation between South Africa and Iran during the South African leader’s State Visit to the Middle Eastern nation in 2016.
The participating companies will showcase their products to foreign delegations, potential buyers, distributors and agents at the exhibition which will also present opportunities for export and investment.
The 24th International Agricultural Trade Fair, organized by the German trade show specialists fair-trade and their Iranian partners Palar Samaneh, is scheduled for 23 to 26 May 2017 at the Tehran International Permanent Fairgrounds
