Entrepreneurship for Opportunity Actualization (EOpAct) internship program has been initiated by The United States Agency for International Development, in collaboration with Africa Lead. This will help entrepreneurship in Africa business, investment in African economy. This is delighting news for African bsuinesses.
The aim of the initiative is to spread the vocational skills among the young generation dealing in agriculture and to help them build a strong entrepreneurial profile.
The implementation of the Entrepreneurship for Opportunity Actualization has been undertaken by the Agribusiness in Sustainable Natural African Plant Products. The program aims at reducing the gap between the required skills and the academic faculties of the students in the agriculture sector.
This program will help the students to polish their skills in the field of agriculture and also use the entrepreneurial skills to help their small businesses and compete in the market in the near future.
The program aims at helping horticulture, grains and livestock sector by empowering the young graduates with the skills required to perform well in the industry.
USAID affiliated agricultural institutions will help the youth in Ghana to learn what they need to learn in the modern ever changing scenario. ASNAPP Executive Director, Dan Acquaye remarks that Africa’s 30% gross domestic needs are fulfilled by the agriculture sector and 70% of the African population mainly depends on agriculture to earn their living.
Dan further added that agriculture sector contributes 4 times as compared to all any other sector in the industry.
