The national carrier of the sultanate of Oman, Oman Air is set to launch a new four times weekly flight from Muscat to Nairobi, Kenya starting March 27, 2017.
“This new Oman Air route to the Kenyan capital Nairobi is a significant development for both countries. Trade between Kenya and Oman has been growing steadily over the years and I hope this new flight will facilitate the increase in bilateral trade and investment opportunities,” Abdulrahman Al Busaidy, Deputy CEO and Executive Vice President- Commercial, Oman Air said.
Oman Air will operate a Boeing 737-800 from Muscat every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 1450 and arriving in Nairobi at 1855.
From the Kenyan capital, there will be convenient connections to major cities in Africa with Kenya Airways.
The return flight will depart Nairobi on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 0045 and arrive in Muscat at 0650, offering guests the opportunity to experience Oman Air connections to its destinations in the Far East, Indian Subcontinent, Europe and GCC countries.
The opening of the Kenya route is part of Oman Air’s ambitious and dynamic fleet and network expansion programme which includes the delivery of new aircraft, introduction of a range of exciting new destinations and new products and services that enhance passenger experience.
