The flag carrier of the Republic of Rwanda, Rwandair has announced London, United Kingdom as its first European route.
Beginning 26 May 2017, Rwandair will fly three times weekly to Gatwick International Airport.
John Mirenge, Chief Executive Officer, Rwandair said, “We are delighted to enable new and seamless connections between London and the whole of our network”.
The carrier currently flies to nineteen cities in Western, Eastern and Southern Africa; and in the Middle East.
The young airline with eleven aircraft will fly its newly acquired Airbus A330 in a class configuration with inflight connectivity on the London route.
London will be Rwandair’s 22nd destination. It will commence flights to Mumbai, India and Harare, Zimbabwe this April.
