The Ayade Industrial Park in Calabar is set to become one of the biggest business hubs in Africa, according to Yemi Osinbajo, the Vice President of Nigeria. The Acting President made this assertion during his working visit to Calabar, the last leg of his Niger Delta tour

“It will become a major business hub in Africa in the nearest future and will bring development, not only to the state but to Nigeria and beyond”, he said

He noted that the industrial park which accommodates several state projects, including the garment factory and the rice seedling plant, would catapult the socio-economic development of the state and the country as a whole

The Governor of Cross River State, Senator (Prof.) Ben Ayade, said the ongoing state projects are aimed to drastically reduce the scourge of unemployment on one hand, whilst ensuring the continuous growth and economic development of Cross River State, which he aims to make an enterprise state

Acting president, Yemi Osinbajo lauded the efforts of Gov. Ayade and his administration for their continuous and consistent efforts to industrialise the state, assuring them of the support of the Federal Government to bring their plans to fruition
