Global hospitality giant, Marriott International has unveiled a new travel program dubbed Marriott Bonvoy in South Africa.
“Built on the belief that travel enriches the world and connects people, Marriott Bonvoy offers an extraordinary portfolio of global brands in 130 countries and territories providing endless inspiration for members to keep traveling with passion and purpose,” the company said in a statement issued this week.
Under one set of unified benefits, Marriott Bonvoy simplifies rewards and offers members a holistic travel experience encompassing much more than a hotel stay.
“The introduction of Marriott Bonvoy is a significant milestone for our company and we are committed to elevating the Marriott Bonvoy program by bringing members more of what they love most whether they are at home or traveling,” said Neal Jones, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer for the Middle East and Africa at Marriott International.
“We are excited to bring these very special experiences that fuel the passions of our members in South Africa and hope that these create memorable moments that will win us their continued loyalty,” Jones added.
Among other benefits, Marriott Bonvoy offers what the firm refers to as unmatched access and special member only experiences on ‘Marriott Bonvoy Moments’ – the travel program’s experiential platform that allows members to bid with their Marriott Bonvoy points.
Comprised of a portfolio of 30 hotel brands, members can earn and redeem points for hotel stays and accelerate the points they earn with co-branded credit cards from Emirates NBD and Mastercard in the UAE. The program offers 120,000 destination tours and adventures on Marriott Bonvoy Moments.
Marriott Bonvoy Moments is currently featuring two exclusive experiences that throw a spotlight on South Africa.
Marriott Bonvoy members have the opportunity to bid their points for a round of golf at the award-winning 18-hole, Par 72 Championship golf course at African Pride Arabella Hotel & Spa, Autograph Collection in Kleinmond, South Africa.
The experience, which will be held on 10th May 2019, includes a one-night stay at the resort, a round of golf, live entertainment and food and beverages throughout the day. Curated in conjunction with Reach For A Dream Foundation, an NGO that helps children with life-threatening illnesses live out their dreams, Marriott Bonvoy has committed all proceeds from the day to go to the foundation.
