The Cytonn eHub Investor’s Forum, an annual event that connects entrepreneurs in Kenya with funding opportunities from investors, is set to kick off its latest edition this November.
The event is a product of an initiative known as the Cytonn Foundation, the corporate social responsibility (CSR) affiliate of real estate company, Cytonn Investments.
The Foundation hosted the first annual eHub Forum in 2016. The forum, which was held in Kenya’s capital of Nairobi was the first of its kind.
Last year, the event saw eight entrepreneurs with businesses in diverse fields pitch their businesses to an investor panel that included Darshan Chandaria, CEO of consumer goods company, Chandaria Industries; Cytonn’s Chief Investments Officer, Elizabeth Nkukuu, Niraj Varia, Investment Director at Novastar Ventures, a venture capital firm; Josephine Macharia, Founder and Director at marketing company, Bluegrass Solutions, and Shiko Kimani, Founder and Director of investment group Start to Greatness.
“Cytonn is committed to growing entrepreneurs, equipping them with skills enabling them fit in the real world,” said Cytonn CEO and Managing Partner, Edwin Dande.
This year’s edition of the forum will likely be followed by an intense 12-week programme designed to draw maximum potential from entrepreneurs.
The entrepreneurs that graduated from the first programme have been taken through weekly classes on topics that grow their businesses including brand, sales, customer experience, legal, capital, finances, mentorship and networking, human resource and administration.
This year’s forum, which will be held on November 9th, will bring together a panel of distinguished entrepreneurs with the goal of sharing their perspectives on what it takes to start and grow a business
