The delegation, which include six companies would establish contacts with potential sales agents, importers, distributors, retailers and introduce them into the Ghanaian markets.

The potential partner company profiles include trucks and rolling material traders/importers, logistics operators and transporters, importers of spare parts and used trucks and transport operators.

Mr Lacerda stated that Portugal is a country made up of 10 million people with very dynamic economy, adding that 23,000 Portuguese companies are engaged in more than 10 million dollars export deals.

He explained that the rationale behind the visit is due to the resilience of Ghana’s economy, and an impressive GDP, adding that Ghana is an alternative or new destination to Angola where Portugal had done business for a long time.

Unlike Ghana that is better organised and a safe country to invest in a diversified economy, he said Angola is concentrated on the oil and gas industry and the prospects for the economy are dwindling.
