Goldstone Resources’ prospecting licences for its Homase-Akrokeri project, in Ghana, have been extended to April 2020, the company announced on Friday.
According to the company, its wholly-owned subsidiary Goldstone Akrokeri had been notified of the renewal of GAL’s prospecting licence, PL6/87, in the Ashanti Region of Ghana for an extended period.
“We are very pleased to have received these renewals, and especially for an extended period, demonstrating our commitment to advancing the Homase-Akrokeri project,” said Chief Executive Emma Priestley, in a statement yesterday.
The licence incorporated the Akrokerri project, in which the firm has a 100% interest, the statement added.
“We are expecting to update the market in the next few weeks on the results from the large scale soil sampling programme that has been ongoing.
These results, together with the renewal and extension of our prospecting licences demonstrate management’s commitment to developing a long-term growth strategy and add real shareholder value,” she added.
