Innovators from various parts of the African continent are gearing up for the latest edition of the StartUpNow Africa Entrepreneurship summit, a three-day innovation, leadership and entrepreneurship platform that seeks to empower its local business owners.
The event, which will be held on November 16th, 2017 in the Kenyan capital of Nairobi, was created with the aim of connecting, inspiring, motivating, growing and engaging African leaders, innovators and entrepreneurs, who are working towards solving the continent’s top problems with their projects, products, startups and companies.
“StartUpNow is an African based innovative company that works with a vision of growing a sustainable Africa entrepreneurship ecosystem and empowering African entrepreneurs to build companies that design solutions to top challenges faced in Africa,” the event’s organisers said.
By partnering with Kenya-based grant organization, Mradi Fund and motor company, CMC Group, a July 2017 precursor to the event sought to ensure that participating startups had a greater impact in Africa.
The affair was highlighted by a boot-camp for aspiring innovators.
The first boot camp was held on September 23rd.
“We use research, analytics, and creativity to gain a clear and deep understanding of unmet needs and opportunities related to startups brands, customers or markets, to create value for businesses,” StartUpNow said in a statement.
StartUpNow is highly regarded within Kenya’s tech space, having received the 2015 award for Top 40 under 40 Africa entrepreneur. StartUpNow is also one of the Top 100 fastest-growing mid-sized companies in East Africa.
