Marriott International has opened its first property in Kenya, Four Points by Sheraton in Nairobi’s upmarket suburb of Hurlingham.
“It is a perfect blend of stylish comfort and genuine service at an honest value,” said Alex Kyriakidis, President and Managing Director, Marriott International, Middle East and Africa.
The hotel features 96 spacious and modern rooms, an all-day dining restaurant, a rooftop restaurant and bar and lounge.
Other facilities at Four Points by Sheraton Nairobi Hurlingham include a fitness centre, rooftop pool and meeting spaces.
It provides all of the brand’s signature elements including Four Points bed, free bottles water in all rooms and suites, fast free WiFi throughout the hotel and energizing breakfast.
Vivek Mathur, General Manager, Four Points by Sheraton Nairobi Hurlingham said the hotel is targeting both business and leisure travellers familiar with the popular global brand.
In its continuing growth momentum, the brand is set to open three more hotels in East Africa in 2017: Four Points by Sheraton Nairobi Airport, Four Points by Sheraton Dar es Salaam and Four Points by Sheraton Arusha.
Marriott International is also developing a 365-room JW Marriott hotel in Nairobi expected to begin operations in 2020 further enhancing its presence in the region.
Marriott brought its signature brand and world amenities to sub-Saharan Africa for the first time in its 90-year history with the opening of the Kigali Marriott Hotel in Rwanda in October 2016.
