African Ministers of Trade Convene in Niger Today to Discuss Free Trade

Africa could realise trade liberalization by the first quarter of 2018, to allow tax-free movement of goods among countries.

As part of the facilitating process, African Ministers of Trade and Industry, and the related sectors are in Niger today Thursday, November 30 to hold talks on Africa trade globalization.

The development, if realised, is likely to cause business boom on the continent as well as create more opportunities for citizens to do business in a more convenient way.

Ghana’s Minister of Trade and Industry, Alan Kyeremanteng will join colleague trade ministers to discuss the feasibility of the proposal.

Mr. Kyeremanteng who made this known at a groundbreaking ceremony for Westpark Industrial Park at Yabiw in the Shama District of the Western Region noted that Ghana was fully committed to the realisation of a free trade market for African countries.
