The Board Advisor of the Mozambique Investment and Export Promotions Agency (APIEX) Dr. Gil Bires has urged South African and Mozambican business people to forms partnerships that will enable them access trade and investment opportunities in each other’s countries.
“As a national investment and export promotion agency we are delighted to see the South African business people showing interest in our country and coming over to seek opportunities here,” Bires said.
He was speaking at the opening of the South African Pavillion at the Mozambique International Trade Show FACIM in Maputo, Mozambique which he said was an indication of the country’s commitment to enhancing bilateral economic trade relations and increasing trade and investment relations between the two countries.
Founded in 2012, FACIM is an annual multi-sectoral trade fair organized by the Institute for Support to Export (IPEX) to showcase Mozambique’s attractiveness as a trade and investment destination.
It facilitates contact with nearly 2, 000 participating companies from over 30 countries globally to stimulate their consumption and economic integration in the Mozambican economy.
Bires assured the South African business community of his organization’s ongoing efforts to make Mozambique’s trade and investment environment more conducive and attractive highlighting oil and gas as one of the country’s natural resource area with potential business opportunities for local and foreign investors.
