Nigerian Recycling Firm Recyclers Wins €200,000 African Development Prize

Rapidly growing Lagos-based recycling firm, Wecyclers, has won the 2019 African Development Prize.

King Baudouin Foundation (KBF) conferred the €200,000 African Development Prize on Wecyclers, a Lagos-based waste recycling company, on Wednesday, 20 March, Business Day reported.

The King Baudouin African Development Prize annually rewards outstanding contributions to development in Africa, initiated and led by Africans.

It also seeks to draw public attention to the many inspirational stories, including challenges, struggles and successes of these impactful businesses and projects.
